Cecilia Barros | Provisional Psychologist

Cecilia

Cecilia Barros is a passionate Provisional Psychologist who holds a Bachelor in Psychological Science with Honours from Bond University.

Cecilia has a particular interest working with children and adolescents, and has also worked with parents. Cecilia enjoys working with clients individually, as well as focusing on the family system as she views families as a team, and they must work together to reach their goals.

Cecilia works from a non-judgemental, and client focused approach where her clients are the experts of their own lives. She believes in providing them with the tools necessary to achieve their life goals, and live a happier life.

Cecilia has had experience working with clients with mood disorders (such as Major Depressive Disorder), neurodevelopmental disorders (such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Learning Disorders), and trauma disorders (such as PTSD). She is also interested in working with adolescents as she can appreciate the stressors that come with being in High School such as academic stress, self-esteem, and identity confusion.
