David Hufffines | Provisional Psychologist

David is a provisional psychologist with a down-to-earth approach. He has a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Griffith University, and has extensive experience helping clients of all ages and backgrounds through challenges like trauma, addiction, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, autism, and ADHD. His therapeutic style draws from techniques like cognitive behavioural therapy, dynamic psychotherapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.

David is neuro-affirming and works from a strength-based approach. For him, building a strong therapeutic alliance with his clients is key to facilitating change. When working with children, he focuses on equipping both the child and parent with new tools they can discover together.

Before becoming a therapist, David worked as a mechanic, giving him a diverse perspective and understanding of the world. He highly values treating all people with respect and compassion.
