The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends a scheduled fee of $300 per session. However, we strive to provide accessible services and our scheduled fees are below this.

Our fees for psychological services vary depending on your individual needs. Below is a guide for our general fees. Please contact us for further clarification.

Registered Psychologist

● Initial Consultation – $250

● Standard consultation – $230

If you hold a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan referral from a GP or Psychiatrist then you are eligible for a Medicare rebate of $92.90. This rebate is processed at time of appointment and funds are normally back into your bank account within 24-48 hours.

● Psychology – $214.41 per session

Your Psych Centre is highly experienced at providing services within the NDIS system. From initial applications, to capacity building therapy, to plan reviews, our Clinicians are here to provide NDIS Self or Plan managed services.

We will ensure services provided are in line with your NDIS plan goals. We can advise on the level of support required and provide evidence for funding applications.

Costs can range from $800 to $1800. (Medicare rebates available if referred by a Paediatrician through the Helping Children with Autism Initiative).

During the initial appointment, the assessment needs are discussed along with any associated costs. Payment can be made in instalments to assist with managing the costs.

Medicare Services

Mental Health Treatment Plan

Medicare provides rebates for Psychological Consultations under a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP). To access the Medicare rebate, you must have a referral from a GP, Paediatrician or a Psychiatrist, under a Mental Health Treatment Plan. You are able to receive rebates for 10 individual and 10 group psychological sessions per calendar year.

The current rebate for Psychological Interventions starts at: $92.90 for Registered Psychologists and $136.35 for Clinical Psychologists.

Chronic Disease Management Plan

The chronic disease management (CDM) Medicare items are part of a government initiative that assists people living with a chronic or complex medical illness to get the support and help they need from allied health professionals.

Medicare rebates are available for up to five visits (in total) within a calendar year, to certain allied health professionals assisting in the care and management of a chronic disease from a range of allied health professionals including Psychologists.

The current Medicare rebate provided under a Chronic Disease Management Plan is $56.00

Complex neurodevelopmental disorder and eligible disability

Medicare provides rebates for the assessment and treatment of Complex neurodevelopmental disorder and other eligible disabilities.

This Medicare item is available for a maximum of up to eight (8) assessment sessions and twenty (20) treatment sessions. Rebates are available on sessions up until the the age of 25 years. The individual must first have been seen by a specialist or consultant physician, or a GP before commencing assessment sessions with the psychologist.

Claiming your Medicare Rebate

To claim your rebate, you will need to provide a copy of a current referral and your current Medicare card details. Full payment is taken at time of session. Your Psych Centre will then process the Medicare rebate on your behalf. The rebate will be returned directly to your nominated bank account with Medicare. This usually takes 1 to 2 business days.

If you do not have a referral, and have Private Health cover, check with your insurer if you are eligible for a rebate.
